Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is looking for a talented and motivated IT Graduate Intern to join the company’s dynamic team. As an IT Graduate Intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with desktop support, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and work on assigned projects in a culturally diverse environment.

This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a not-for-profit organization focused on delivering impactful health interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnosing computer problems and provide technical assistance to office staff under the support or supervision of the IT team.
• Support software and hardware upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
• Add or update workstations for office staff as required.
• Perform routine PC maintenance and updates to enhance performance efficiency.
• Review and process help desk support requests.
• Maintain Internet service, firewalls, and telephone systems.
• Identify process improvements to better address user demands.
• Document support, repair, and project activities using a helpdesk ticketing system.
• Stay updated with Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, and Windows 11 in a domain environment.
• Troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.
• Meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Follow instructions and work autonomously while recognizing limitations.
• Quickly acquire new skills and knowledge to tackle new challenges.
• Maintain confidentiality requirements in a pseudo medical setting.
• Pay attention to detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• HND/Degree in an IT-related field with at least one year of learning experience in computer systems operations.
• Proficiency in MS Active Directory structure, software installations, backup and archive, hardware and software troubleshooting, and printer and system maintenance.
