Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Food and Beverages Controller to join their team.

As an Assistant Food and Beverages Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory management and cost control within the food and beverage department. Join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our food and beverage services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock availability.
  • Analyze all purchases made periodically, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage operating expenses on a weekly basis, identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile inventory and cost-related accounts.
  • Implement and maintain effective material control systems to minimize wastage and maximize cost savings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies or quality issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for inventory management.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis on inventory levels, consumption patterns, and cost variances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize food and beverage offerings, pricing, and profitability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory management and cost control.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
  • Knowledge of hospitality management systems such as Opera, ACCPAC, Micro POS, and material control systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using spreadsheet software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
