Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Survey Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Survey Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all surveying activities in our mining portals.

This pivotal role requires strong leadership, collaboration with various departments, and a deep understanding of surveying strategies. Join us and contribute to the success of our mining operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accurate and reliable survey data for various mining operations.
• Develop and implement surveying strategies and procedures to support mine planning, pit development, and production activities.
• Manage and supervise a team of Surveyors by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Stay up to date with advancements in survey technology and software, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish an auditable survey system to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Prepare Special Grant (SG) and EPOs Plans for mining and exploration license applications and renewals.
• Prepare and update statutory and non-statutory mine plans for legal compliance, efficiency, and effective execution of tasks.
• Utilize survey software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Surpac Geovia, Pix4D, and GPS software effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in surveying instrumentation, including Total stations, Levels, and DGPS.
• Foster a culture of safety, adherence to regulations, and best practices within the surveying team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Geo-informatics and Surveying or equivalent.
• Post Graduate qualification such as MBA or Master’s Degree in Geographical Information Systems, Surveying, or equivalent.
• Registration with a professional body.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Survey Manager or at the supervisory level.
• Demonstrable ability in using survey software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Surpac Geovia, Pix4D, and GPS Software.
• Proficiency in surveying instrumentation including Total stations, Levels, and DGPS.
