Lumens Energy is looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician to join the company’s dynamic team in Bulawayo. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for performing expert electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, with a focus on residential wiring and solar system setups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform expert installation, configuration, and maintenance of solar power systems, including PV panels, inverters, and batteries.
• Conduct safe and efficient electrical wiring for residential homes and small businesses.
• Evaluate sites to determine suitable solar solutions, taking accurate measurements, and identifying potential challenges.
• Create and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for projects.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel effectively for project calculations, pricing, and data management.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and issues related to solar systems and household wiring.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, explaining technical concepts in a simplified manner.
• Adhere to electrical codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
• Collaborate with the team to provide guidance and support on electrical installations and maintenance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, continuously enhancing technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum A-Levels or equivalent education.
• Class 3 Electrician Certification or higher.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical wiring and preferably solar system installations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform meticulous work with a focus on quality.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear interactions with clients and the team.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for calculations and project documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in solar borehole installation is a plus.
