Fastjet is looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Standards Manager to join the company’s dynamic team. As the Technical Standards Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing airworthiness and maintenance standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance standards and procedures in line with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of maintenance standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Manage a team of technical staff, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, ensuring effective partnerships and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments, such as Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for technical staff, ensuring continuous professional development and competence enhancement.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Prepare and analyze technical reports, performance metrics, and key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or recognized management qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the management or supervision of personnel.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent IT and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and high work standards.
  • A proactive and energetic approach, combined with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
