Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is looking for two motivated Sales and Marketing Officers to join the company’s dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in driving sales and marketing initiatives and contribute to the company’s growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze sales data, maintain inventory of promotional materials, plan meetings and trade shows, maintain databases, and prepare reports.
  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts, preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives. Organize promotional presentations and update product calendars.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries about products and service benefits.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring superior customer service and satisfaction.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Coordinate with the graphics department to ensure promotional materials are ready, including stock inventory management, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate product characteristics, market share, pricing, advertising, and consumer trends.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and trade shows, including identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments through participation in educational opportunities and reading trade publications.
  • Actively engage in selling and promoting products.
  • Identify and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and customers to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, maintaining competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Studies.
  • A Post-Graduate degree in Business Administration/Management will be an added advantage.
  • IMM or Diploma in Forestry/Diploma in Marketing.
  • Clean Class 4 Driver’s License and defensive driving skills.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing principles, especially in selling services.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ commercial management experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role within the Timber Industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
