Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Supply Chain to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain while maintaining high levels of customer service.

This pivotal role will involve overseeing and optimizing the sourcing of capital goods and services, negotiating prices, and managing supplier relationships to support the strategic and operational needs of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic leadership and coordination in supply chain services.
• Developing and implementing a vision for value-addition in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, inventory management, and logistics functions.
• Driving organizational change to ensure a cost-effective and efficient supply chain, while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Collaborating with management to establish and administer procurement policies that uphold the company’s integrity.
• Designing internal processes that prioritize client satisfaction, exceeding their expectations and ensuring customer delight.
• Managing and controlling costs by effectively allocating resources within the department and adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Safeguarding and enhancing the company’s reputation across all operational areas and within the greater business community through professionalism and strong ethical practices.
• Leading and developing a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee growth.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Professional certification such as CIPS or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Head of Supply Chain in the mining or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in working with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Sound knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems.
