Job Description

A local faith-based non-governmental organization, committed to development, advocacy, and humanitarian work, is seeking to fill the position of Logistic Assistant.

With a strong focus on serving the community, the organization aims to make a positive impact through its various programs and initiatives.

As a Logistics Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing logistical support to program operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a faith-based non-governmental organization, making a difference in the lives of others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical, warehousing, and housekeeping support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise the movement and transportation of goods, equipment, and materials for the organization’s projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source quotations and procure project materials and equipment.
  • Ensure project vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained, equipped with necessary travel equipment.
  • Facilitate the timely provision of materials and resources required by staff to perform their duties effectively.
  • Safely transport staff and project materials as needed.
  • Assist in the coordination of logistics for events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and distribution.
  • Implement proper storage and inventory management procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Purchase and Supply, Project Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian principles and a code of conduct.
