Willbey Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a dynamic and motivated Loans Officer to join our team in Nyanga. As a Loans Officer, you will play a vital role in assessing loan applications, managing loan portfolios, and building strong customer relationships.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of SMEs and make a positive impact on the local economy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and ratio analysis to evaluate loan applications from SMEs.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and credit appraisal techniques to assess creditworthiness and risk.
- Manage loan portfolios effectively, ensuring timely repayments and minimizing defaults.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand clients’ needs and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Prepare loan documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Monitor loan disbursements and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Conduct field visits to SMEs to assess business operations, verify information, and provide guidance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies for business growth and risk management.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and best practices in SME lending.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any loan-related queries or issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, or any other related field.
- A professional course in Credit Management, Credit Administration, Securities Management, or IOBZ is an added advantage.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Bank or Microfinance Institution, with a strong background in customer service or credit granting processes.
- Proven experience in SME lending and collections is essential.
- Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to interpret financial statements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and credit appraisal expertise.
- Good knowledge of local market conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
