Midlands State University (MSU) is looking for a dynamic Receptionist/Money Transfer Agent Teller to join its team.

As a Receptionist/Money Transfer Agent Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling money transfers, and ensuring efficient operations at the retail shop. Join MSU and be a part of a progressive and thriving academic institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Process money transfers and perform cash checks and signature checks for each client served.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure the confidentiality of financial transactions.
  • Balance currency at the end of each working day and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Input clients’ transactions and required information into the systems accurately.
  • Provide accurate quotes for unit exchange rates.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports.
  • Collect float from the cashier and ensure proper documentation.
  • Adhere to financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 “O” Levels, including Mathematics, Accounts, and English.
  • A-level qualification, preferably with Mathematics and Accounts.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work experience in retail FMCG is an added advantage.
  • National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Banking and Finance/Accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
