A local retail company, Isteel and Pump Solutions, is seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Cashier to join their dynamic team.

With a strong presence in the industry, the company specializes in providing quality products and services to its customers. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transactions and delivering exceptional customer service.

As a Cashier, you will manage transactions with customers using cash registers, accurately price goods, collect payments, issue receipts and refunds, and redeem stamps and coupons.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to cross-sell products, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Competitive remuneration and other incentives will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Ensure accurate pricing of goods.
• Collect payments, whether in cash or credit.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets.
• Redeem stamps and coupons.
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar sales role.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers and POS systems.
• Strong math skills.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
• Minimum of 5 ‘O’ Levels, including English Language and Mathematics/Accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is desirable.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Cashier.
