Lemon Tree Technology P/L is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Assistant Accountant to join the company’s dynamic team.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the Finance Manager. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and additional allowances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a proper fixed asset register and conducting monthly reconciliation of assets against physical records.
- Reconciling GL Control accounts on a monthly basis and ensuring proper support for balances.
- Preparing the monthly payroll for the company, seeking approval, and ensuring timely payment.
- Updating the monthly TaRMS Payroll tax return and reconciling it with the company’s payroll, addressing any variances.
- Submitting monthly reports to the respective regulatory authorities for NSSA and NEC payments.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to tax authority deadlines for statutory payments and maintaining adherence to regulations.
- Preparing monthly trial balances and audit schedules for review and approval by the supervisor.
- Performing any related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a busy accounting department.
- Proficiency in the use of ICT and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to meet deadlines, ensure compliance with company procedures, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant qualification.
