Midlands State University (MSU) is looking for two dynamic Sales and Marketing Assistants to join its team. As a Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will contribute to the implementation of sales and marketing strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, analyze customer needs, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, manage customer inquiries, and provide product information.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and marketing activities, including customer interactions, market trends, and campaign results.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in events, exhibitions, and trade shows to showcase the university’s programs and offerings.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and marketing data, generate reports, and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, marketing techniques, and advancements in digital marketing platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as graphic designers and content writers, to develop compelling marketing collateral.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or Public Relations.
  • Minimum of five ‘O’ Levels, including Mathematics and English.
  • At least two years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the FMCG industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and digital marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
