Braford Investments is looking for a skilled and experienced Lubricants Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lubricants Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of lubricants in the Mining, Construction, Transport, and Power Generation Industries.

Your expertise in lubricant formulations, specifications, and their application will be vital in driving our customers’ success. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our lubricants division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the allocated segment industry, such as Power, Construction, or Mining.
  • Represent the company at industry associations, fostering valuable relationships and promoting our products.
  • Coordinate between Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Customers to ensure alignment on product specifications, quality, and integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives at customer sites, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive surveys, including lubricants surveys, to assess customer needs and identify opportunities for up-selling and value-based selling.
  • Develop and execute product line strategies, aligning them with market demands and customer requirements.
  • Conduct trainings for internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance their knowledge of lubricants and their applications.
  • Create proof of performance marketing documents to showcase the effectiveness of our products and technologies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in lubrication engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and introduction of new lubricant products.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma with a 3-year Mechanical Trade qualification.
  • Desirable: Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) certification.
  • Completed a 5-day SAIT Introduction to Lubrication Engineering course or a similar program.
  • Completed Wear Check Fundamentals of Lubrication and Oil Analysis 2-day course and Report Interpretation one-day course or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of Filtration.
  • Proven industry experience in Mining, Construction, Transport, or Power Generation Industries.
