Job Description

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Treasurer to join their dynamic team. As a Treasurer, you will be responsible for managing relationships with banks, monitoring debt levels, ensuring compliance with debt covenants, and optimizing working capital management.

This role requires a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages relationships with banks to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Attends to loan facility renewals within set timelines, ensuring a seamless process.
  • Monitors debt levels and compliance with debt covenants, ensuring timely loan and interest servicing.
  • Directs logistics regarding the allocation of Form CD1s and export receipts amongst lender banks.
  • Provides evidence of sufficient security cover required by lenders ahead of drawdown requests.
  • Monitors Collateral Manager reports and ensures alignment with internal reports.
  • Maintains optimal working capital balances in bank accounts and ensures timely payment to creditors.
  • Maximizes technology leverage to automate processes and procedures, including the weekly cash-flow.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance regarding offshore loan facility registration, Form D1 acquittals, and secure RBZ approval for offshore service payments.
  • Manages acquittal of advance offshore payments within set deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIMA or CA will be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role or related environment.
  • Aptitude or competence for the assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and under extreme pressure with a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
