The Standards Association of Zimbabwe is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Training Officer to join the organisation’s dynamic team. As a Training Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating standards-based training programs, updating training materials, assisting in Quality Management Systems, conducting research, and identifying training risks. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate standards-based training programs, ensuring effective delivery and engagement.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Quality Management Systems.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to training and standards.
  • Identify training risks and recommend appropriate treatment plans to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve training programs and align them with organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to training activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training processes and methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a Technical or Science discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in certification of management systems and products.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Good understanding of standards and their application in various industries.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in auditing, report writing, and communication.
  • Completion of Lead Auditors training in at least one management systems standard is preferred.
