Our client is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their dedicated team. As a Trainee Accountant, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and further develop your skills in a supportive and professional environment.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who has completed a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA 1 and CTA 2) and is seeking to gain practical experience and complete the required hours for certification. The Trainee Accountant will work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to the delivery of high-quality financial services to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Participate in audits, conducting testing procedures and verifying the accuracy of financial records.
  • Support senior accountants in the preparation of tax returns and other compliance-related activities.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing financial models and analyzing data.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documents.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of CTA 1 and CTA 2 is required.
  • A strong academic background in accounting or finance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude.
