Job Description

Our client, a local Agri Retail company, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Services Manager to join their team. With a strong presence in the agricultural sector, our client is committed to providing exceptional services and innovative solutions to their customers.

As the Technical Services Manager, you will collaborate with technical staff to create strategic plans and ensure the efficient delivery of services. Your responsibilities will include scheduling equipment maintenance, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records.

Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop and implement strategic plans to deliver high-quality services.
  • Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets for technical services, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all technical operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct regular assessments of equipment performance and recommend necessary upgrades or replacements.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies relevant to the agricultural sector.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source quality equipment and materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar managerial role within an agricultural environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of agricultural equipment and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans to optimize service delivery.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in record keeping and budget management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
