Job Description
BYD Zimbabwe is a subsidiary of BYD Company Limited, a leading global manufacturer of batteries, electric vehicles, and renewable energy solutions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team and help drive sales of our products in Zimbabwe.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of BYD products, including electric vehicles, batteries, and renewable energy solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales targets
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and markets
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales volume and expand the customer base.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
- Lead the tender process in liaison with internal teams to gather technical information and pricing data, and preparing detailed proposals for customers.
- Determine pricing strategies for products and services, considering market trends customer demands, and internal costs.
- Provide advice and support to clients on technical issues.
- Conduct technical presentations to clients.
- Attend and represent the organisation at trade shows.
- Monitors subordinate performance.
- Make product recommendations to management.
- Perform market analysis, follow market trends and regularly offer advice to management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the automotive or renewable energy industry
- Experience with Electric/Hybrid Electric Vehicles is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
