Job Description
A Harare-based company in the environmental sustainability sector that is committed to promoting sustainable practices across all areas of its business is looking for an experienced Sustainability Associate to support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives across all areas of our business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
As their Sustainability Associate, you should help the company offer innovative solutions to help their clients achieve their sustainability goals and protect the environment for future generations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of client engagements.
- Development and improvement of services related to corporate sustainability or non-financial information disclosure.
- Data collection, analysis and report compilation.
- Narrative report writing.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainability issues and trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into business operations
- Prepare reports and presentations on sustainability progress and performance
- Assist with sustainability reporting and data management
- Stay up-to-date with sustainability regulations, standards, and best practices
- Coordinate sustainability-related events and communication efforts
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Statistics/ Data Analytics/ Banking & Finance or Professional Accountancy or Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
- At least one year of working experience.
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and research skills
