Our client, a reputable organization in the transport and logistics sector, is currently seeking a skilled Supervisor to join their team based in Masvingo, Zimbabwe.
With a strong commitment to providing efficient and reliable services in parking management, our client has established a solid reputation in the industry. They are dedicated to ensuring smooth parking operations and maintaining a safe environment for customers.
As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the parking operations and managing a team of Parking Marshalls.
This position requires strong leadership skills and a customer-centric approach to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and the delivery of excellent service. Competitive remuneration, allowances, and other incentives will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular marshal parades to brief Parking Marshalls on their duties and ensure they are well-prepared for their shifts.
- Oversee the performance of Parking Marshalls, providing guidance, feedback, and support to maintain high standards of customer service.
- Allocate and distribute necessary working tools and equipment to Parking Marshalls, ensuring they have everything needed for their duties.
- Maintain discipline among the team, enforcing parking regulations and addressing any behavioral or performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to coordinate parking operations, optimize traffic flow, and ensure efficient use of parking spaces.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of Parking Marshalls, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Parking Marshalls.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to parking activities, revenue collection, and employee performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess at least 5 Ordinary Level passes.
- Hold a certificate in Supervisory Management or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience at a supervisory level, preferably in parking management or a customer service-oriented role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of parking procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems related to the role.
