Job Description

ZINARA is a government agency responsible for the management and maintenance of Zimbabwe’s road network. Established in 2002, ZINARA has grown to become a crucial player in the country’s transportation infrastructure.

Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) is responsible for the maintenance and development of the national road network in Zimbabwe.

ZINARA is looking for three detail-oriented and organized individuals to fill the position of Stores Clerk. As a Stores Clerk, you will be responsible for stock maintenance, receiving and checking products, capturing materials into the stock management system, issuing goods to various departments, and maintaining inventory registers.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the organization’s warehouse and ensure the continuous availability of goods.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out stock maintenance activities to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Receive products from suppliers and regional offices, carefully checking for defects or damages.
  • Capture all received materials and assets into the stock management system for proper tracking.
  • Issue goods and assets to various departments and agents as per request.
  • Record, report, and return any defects or damaged items promptly.
  • Maintain and update inventory registers to ensure accurate stock records.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and promptly report any discrepancies or shortages.
  • Participate in stock takes to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Identify and tag materials due for disposal according to established procedures.
  • Manage the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 O’ Levels including English and Mathematics/Accounts.
  • 2 A’ Level passes or equivalent.
  • National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply/Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in a similar role.
