Job Description
Associated Belts and Bearings, a retailer of suspension and other motor spares, is looking for an enthusiastic shop manager to be in charge of the day-to-day operations of their shop, coordinate staff, and ensure our customers have excellent shopping experiences. The shop manager’s responsibilities include driving sales, enforcing company policies, ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations, and managing financial aspects such as daily revenue and salaries.
The ideal candidate will be the conduit of information exchange between management and shop operations.
Central to the duties and responsibilities is installing managerial impetus throughout all shop operations, viz, the introductions and maintenance of administrative outlook in every aspect of running a retail shop. This also includes the translation and enforcement of company expectations of the shop.
In addition, the monitoring and management of all shop personnel lie with the ideal candidate and communication of shop operational challenges and opportunities to senior management are expected.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees.
- Preparing employee work schedules.
- Addressing employee disputes, questions, and concerns.
- Ensuring all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Managing and accounting for all money-handling procedures.
- Ordering, recording, and managing inventory.
- Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
- Motivating employees to reach sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Handling customer complaints.
- Research and Competitor Analysis
Qualifications And Experience
- A tertiary sales or business management qualification
- 3 years of experience in a management role
