Job Description

Regency Hotel and Leisure is looking for a diligent and experienced Risk and Loss Controller to join their dynamic team in Masvingo. As a Risk and Loss Controller, you will play a vital role in guiding financial decisions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and assessing and mitigating risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures to guide financial decisions
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures throughout the organization
  • Revise and monitor insurance policies and coverage levels, making recommendations as necessary
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and providing recommendations for prevention
  • Assess potential risks, analyze their dimensions, and provide recommendations
  • Prepare and present reports and risk analysis to management
  • Conduct audit testing in specified areas, identifying reportable issues
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement risk prevention measures
  • Monitor and enforce security measures to safeguard company assets
  • Develop and deliver training programs on risk management and loss prevention
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in risk management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional qualification in Accounting or a related field
  • Additional qualifications in Police and Security Studies or similar areas are advantageous
  • Internal Audit qualification is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present complex information
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
