The company operates a private hospital in Bindura and a private urgent care clinic in Harare. With a history dating back to 2004, Ponai Medical Centre is fully registered under the Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe and is committed to providing quality healthcare services to the community.

Ponai Medical Centre – Avondale Urgent Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Medical Doctor to join their dynamic team.

As a Resident Medical Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care, prescribing treatments, and facilitating referrals to ensure the well-being of patients. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe appropriate treatment plans and medications for patients.
  • Perform minor surgical interventions as required.
  • Deliver health education to patients and their families.
  • Handle medical and surgical emergencies with efficiency and composure.
  • Engage in continuous education to stay updated with medical advancements.
  • Maintain and manage Health Management Systems accurately and comprehensively.
  • Provide confidential patient consultations and deliver compassionate medical care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to facilitate referrals for further treatment and care.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and assess patients’ medical histories.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
  • Open Practicing Centre.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Current Practicing Certificate.
