Job Description
Our client is a reputable financial institution providing credit services to individuals and businesses. With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, our client has established a strong presence in the region.
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Manager to oversee the operations of branches in a specific region. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for supervising Credit Officers, ensuring branch performance, managing risk, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the performance of Credit Officers and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure that branches in the region operate within budget and meet targets.
- Ensure adequate cash availability in all branches.
- Provide support to Credit Officers in loan underwriting and evaluating new markets.
- Market the company’s credit products in the region.
- Provide training for Credit Officers and collectors.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Supervise branches in the region and ensure loans are disbursed following the company’s lending procedure manual.
- Report and resolve staff HR issues in the region.
- Facilitate employee engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Manage the repossession and register of all repossessed items in the region.
- Identify, measure, and mitigate risk in branches.
- Implement and manage quality assurance programs.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to procedure.
- Research new technologies and alternative methods to improve efficiency.
- Conduct competitor analysis and develop strategies to address competition in the region.
- Review and process daily reconciliations.
- Conduct debtor verification and follow up with defaulters.
- Attend to any other issues that arise within the units.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls.
- Knowledge of credit management practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Commercial degree required.
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Possession of a clean Class 4 driver’s license.
Remuneration:
- Gross salary of USD 920.00.
- 50% medical aid contribution.
