Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Regional Manager International Taxation to join the company’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing investigations related to multinational enterprises, transfer pricing, tax evasion, and fraud.

This role requires expertise in complex sectors and a solid understanding of international tax regulations. The Regional Manager International Taxation will contribute to revenue growth, voluntary compliance, and legislative reforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage investigations on multinational enterprises, special projects, transfer pricing, base erosion, and profit shifting.
  • Conduct investigations on tax evasion and avoidance, taking necessary actions to enhance voluntary compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to recover lost revenue across various client categories and provide recommendations for legislative changes.
  • Develop and implement annual strategic and operational plans for the region.
  • Monitor revenue performance, ensure proper accounting, expand the revenue base, and minimize revenue leakages.
  • Advise and assist the Commissioner with double taxation agreements, memoranda of understanding, trade agreements, and joint commission matters.
  • Participate in technical meetings with the Ministry of Finance to review existing legislation and assess its relevance.
  • Implement succession planning and development programs for regional management.
  • Monitor and allocate expenditure within the set budget, implementing measures to minimize costs.
  • Oversee the use of assets and resources, conducting regular checks on their condition and sourcing additional resources when needed.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Attend pre-budget consultative meetings and provide advice as required.
  • Participate in management meetings, seminars, and workshops.
  • Contribute to recruitment, control, development, discipline supervision, and other relevant activities.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Fiscal Studies, Business Studies, Business Management, or Social Sciences. Full CIS or equivalent qualifications.
  • An MBA, MBL, or MSc is an added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of Customs & Taxes Legislation and Procedures is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience, with at least 5 years at a managerial level in a Customs & Excise or Taxes environment.
  • Proficient in using ASYCUDA and TaRMS.
  • Possession of a clean Class 4 Driver’s License.
