The Quarry Manager is a key role within our company. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual who can effectively manage our quarrying operations.

As the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire mining process, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety procedures. Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in the success of our quarry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all aspects of quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, extraction, and crushing.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize quarry productivity and maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
• Monitor and control production output, quality, and costs to meet targets and budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and other professionals to plan and execute quarry development projects.
• Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of quarry equipment and machinery.
• Recruit, train, and supervise quarry staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree or degree equivalent (HND) in mining engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Full blasting license in accordance with local regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of quarry operations, including drilling and blasting techniques, as well as production processes.
• Proven track record of increasing productivity and profitability in a mining environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• An added advantage would be a management qualification.
