Job Description

A local faith-based non-governmental organization engaged in development, advocacy, and humanitarian work is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team.

The organization is looking for a proactive and motivated Project Assistant in Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship to join their dynamic team. As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and supporting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship projects for the organization’s clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough economic and entrepreneurship assessments for clients, gathering relevant data and identifying areas for growth and development.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive concept notes for viable economic and entrepreneurship projects for clients.
  • Provide training and orientation to clients on a range of diversified economic and entrepreneurship projects, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Take the lead in setting up economic and entrepreneurship projects for clients, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to project goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and records of client economic empowerment and entrepreneurship projects.
  • Monitor ongoing client projects, providing follow-up support, and addressing any challenges or issues that may arise.
  • Manage distribution lists for client economic empowerment and entrepreneurship project materials, ensuring efficient and organized resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, summarizing project progress, achievements, and challenges.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry trends, best practices, and policy changes related to economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, fostering partnerships and maximizing project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field focusing on economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
  • Minimum of 2 years of traceable work experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully implementing projects.
  • Ability and willingness to perform field assignments, including frequent travel to project sites across the country.
  • Strong commitment to humanitarian principles, organizational policies, and a demonstrated understanding of ethical practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using relevant computer applications and software.
