Job Description

Barloworld Zimbabwe is looking for highly motivated and skilled Product Support and Sales Representatives to join the company’s dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company while providing exceptional customer support and driving sales.

As a Product Support and Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in marketing After-Sales products and services within the assigned coverage area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new customers and manage the existing customer base, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify leads and opportunities for conversion, actively following up on quotes for assigned customers in collaboration with the parts counter and service team.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline for the assigned customer base, employing effective sales funnel management techniques.
  • Coordinate with the Parts, Service, and Equipment Management division to ensure timely support and meet customers’ needs.
  • Consult with customers about equipment life cycle, maintenance, replacement budgets, and other solutions that will lower their owning and operating costs, ultimately supporting customer success.
  • Conduct equipment inspections using Cat Inspect and CTS, accurately recording the machine’s status and identifying any necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the dealership’s product offerings and their intended use for meeting business and customer needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position Barloworld Zimbabwe’s products and services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies, contributing to the achievement of sales targets and overall business goals.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights to the management team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualified Mechanic (Apprentice trained) in Diesel Plant Fitting.
  • A qualification in Sales/Marketing and/or business administration or any related field would be advantageous.
  • High competence in Microsoft Office, demonstrating proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of SAP and CRM systems would be an added advantage.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the industry would be beneficial.
  • Strong sales competency, which will be measured through a compulsory sales competency assessment.
  • Value selling skills, with the ability to analyze customer needs, present solutions, and close sales.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and results-focused, demonstrating drive, energy, and initiative.
  • Professional and technical competence, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
