PG Centre is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Officer to join the company’s dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to the growth and success of PG Centre’s clients.

The Procurement Officer will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring smart global sourcing, and maintaining effective supply chain operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire procurement process, including planning, stock control, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
  • Conduct strategic sourcing to meet all product requirements for the SBU, including products for resale, stationery, protective clothing, machine & motor vehicle spares, and canteen supplies.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of the supply chain to minimize delays and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement continuous process improvement in the Procurement department.
  • Source and procure highest quality products and ensure timely delivery to branches.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturers to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of procured products.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of accredited suppliers and manage relationships with key suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, promoting professionalism and integrity in all business activities.
  • Effectively communicate departmental needs and objectives to line managers and key procurement stakeholders, facilitating a smooth and coordinated process.
  • Prepare routine procurement documentation and reports, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Contribute to the overall success of PG Centre by actively participating in team meetings, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Accounting qualification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
  • High levels of computer literacy.
  • Exceptional negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work ethically and effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in preparing routine procurement documentation and reports.
  • Basic knowledge of business operations.
  • Familiarity with tender processes and contract administration.
