MSF is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Dispenser to join our dynamic team. As a Pharmacy Dispenser at MSF, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely dispensing of medications to patients in artisanal small-scale mining sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispense medication to patients according to medical prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to MSF protocols and standards.
• Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and other relevant information.
• Pack and transport medical supplies following best practices and protocols.
• Maintain minimum medical stocks for daily outreach activities, promptly flagging potential stockouts and placing accurate orders with the MSF Pharmacy Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate dispensing and inventory records, ensuring proper documentation of medication usage and stock levels.
• Monitor expiry dates of medications and coordinate with the Pharmacy Supervisor to manage FIFO/FEFO (First In, First Out/Front Expiry, Front Out) principles.
• Work closely with clinical staff to ensure integrated patient care and self-care practices.
• Participate in community health events and support health education initiatives.
• Collaborate with the mobile outreach team to provide accurate and timely dispensing of drugs in artisanal small-scale mining sites.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean working environment in the pharmacy area.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Dispensary Certificate from the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ).
• Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Drug Dispensing.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in pharmacy dispensing.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Motivation to work in an international and intercultural context with a humanitarian team spirit.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Clear knowledge and experience of legislative instruments and procedures for medical supplies.
• Experience using any ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong command of English and local languages.
