Job Description

Our client, an organization in the hospitality sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Night Auditor to join their team. With a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences, our client is dedicated to maintaining accurate financial data and implementing systematic processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling revenues, and ensuring a smooth hospitality experience for guests.

This role requires a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with hotel guests, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile outlet revenues and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Prepare departmental journals, documenting revenue and expense entries.
  • Carry out rate checks and update guest profiles in the system.
  • Perform system backup and file maintenance to ensure data integrity.
  • Produce comprehensive night audit reports, highlighting any high balances or discrepancies.
  • Transfer city ledger to accounts receivable and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of room rates, packages, and promotions offered by the hotel.
  • Merge guest profiles to ensure a clean and updated guest history.
  • Facilitate early departures by compiling the departure list and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Prepare guest invoices and rectify any errors on guest bills.
  • Act on duty management handover notes, record night activities, and conduct a thorough handover to the early duty manager.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the hotel’s emergency details and procedures to ensure guest safety.


  • Holder of a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Opera system and knowledge of system links between Micros, Opera, and Accpac.
  • Demonstrable financial understanding is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
