Job Description
Steward Bank is a leading financial services provider in Zimbabwe, committed to providing innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team and help design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. This role will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and maintenance of the network infrastructure for voice, data, video and wireless network services.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance, security, and reliability, as well as provide technical support and troubleshooting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
- Configuring and maintaining network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting network issues
- Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance meets business requirements
- Providing technical support to end-users and other IT staff
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in network engineering and security
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in network engineering or an IT-related field
- CISCO certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or a similar qualification
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP
- Experience configuring and maintaining network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
