Job Description

A leading company operating in the food processing industry and specializing in the production of high-end quality products such as cereal, oats, biscuits, vegetarian products, and honey is seeking a competent and experienced Marketing Officer to join their team.

The Marketing Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional client experiences for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for nurturing and managing sales leads, fostering strong client relationships, and driving customer retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Lead Management:
    • Nurture and follow up on sales leads to convert them into loyal clients.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless lead transition and effective communication.
  • Client Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.
    • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Be the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • In-Store Activation and Promotion:
    • Work closely with merchandising teams to execute in-store activations.
    • Promote products through engaging displays, demos, and events.
  • Event Hosting:
    • Plan and host events (e.g., product launches, tastings, workshops) to engage clients and create brand awareness.
    • Ensure events align with the brand image and values.
  • Customer Retention:
    • Develop and implement strategies to retain existing customers and attract new customers.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and proactively prevent churn.
  • Innovative Customer Retention Strategies:
    • Think creatively to come up with novel ways to retain and delight customers.
    • Explore loyalty programs, personalized offers, and exclusive experiences.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, and operations) to align efforts and achieve common goals.
    • Provide insights to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze data and provide recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (online and offline).
    • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Content Creation:
    • Assist in creating compelling marketing content, including social media posts, blogs, and promotional materials.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, performance metrics, and ROI.
    • Analyze data and provide actionable insights to enhance marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Officer or in a similar role.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Background in customer service; food industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Palladium).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position.
