CMED (Private) Limited is looking for a skilled Maintenance Hand to join the company’s dynamic team in Bulawayo. As a Maintenance Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our vehicles and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and replacement of parts.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement appropriate repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs of repairs, inspections, and service schedules.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate work schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor and replenish inventory levels of spare parts and consumables as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in vehicle and equipment maintenance techniques.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 “O” Levels.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in automotive engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred).
