A reputable financial institution in Harare that specializes in providing loans and financial services to individuals and businesses is looking for an energetic and driven Assistant Loans Officer to join their dynamic team.
As an Assistant Loans Officer, you will undergo comprehensive training to assist in various aspects of the loan process, including marketing, loan disbursements, client assessments, and monthly reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in marketing the services of the financial institution to potential borrowers.
- Support loan disbursement processes by verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with lending policies and procedures.
- Assist in assessing client applications, analyzing financial information, and determining loan eligibility.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly reports on loan activities, including disbursements, repayments, and delinquencies.
- Provide excellent customer service to borrowers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with the loans team to ensure efficient loan processing and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for loan applications and related records.
- Assist in conducting credit checks and background investigations on loan applicants.
- Stay updated on industry trends, lending regulations, and best practices in loan administration.
- Support other administrative tasks within the loans department as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good passes in A-level commercial subjects.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and lending practices.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using computer applications, including spreadsheets and database software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
