NMB Bank Limited is looking for a detail-oriented Loans Officer to join the company’s dynamic team. As a Loans Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the loan portfolio and ensuring the smooth operation of loan-related processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct market and sector analysis to identify potential loan opportunities.
- Engage in proactive loan sales activities, targeting big ticket loan sizes.
- Prepare and assess credit applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the loan portfolio, identifying any areas of concern.
- Implement effective delinquency management strategies and participate in pre-litigation processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary loan security documentation.
- Provide support in evaluating loan applications, verifying information, and conducting risk assessments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of loan-related policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to lending practices.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Risk, or a related field.
- Additional certification or diploma in Microfinance or Credit Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a microfinance institution.
- Prior experience in managing unsecured diverse loan portfolios, including Group and MSME loans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with loan security documentation.
- Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s license.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment
