Job Description

A local company in the ICT industry is seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team and oversee a portfolio of major clients in Bulawayo.

With a strong presence in the technology sector, the company is committed to providing innovative solutions and services to its clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers while driving sales and proposing solutions that align with their objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients, ensuring they remain loyal to the company and do not turn to competitors.
  • Gain a deep understanding of key customer needs and requirements to effectively address their challenges and provide tailored solutions.
  • Continuously propose innovative and value-added solutions to existing customers, expanding and strengthening relationships.
  • Drive new sales opportunities within the portfolio, converting them into lasting and profitable relationships.
  • Onboard both existing and new clients onto service-level agreements, ensuring smooth transitions and high levels of satisfaction.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve any issues or challenges faced by customers, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining trust and satisfaction.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders, utilizing key account metrics to track performance.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans for current and potential tender opportunities, identifying strategies for success.
  • Conduct thorough research on competitors’ products and services, providing recommendations to enhance the company’s offerings.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments, anticipating market changes and proactively adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a presales or sales role, preferably within the ICT industry.
  • Possess a degree in Marketing, IMM, CIM, or a related field. Alternatively, a degree in ICT will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in selling ICT solutions, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
  • Holding ICT product certificates will be an added advantage.
  • Must have a clean Class 4 driver’s license.
