Job Description

A company operating in the food processing industry, specializing in the production of high-quality products such as cereal, oats, biscuits, and honey is looking for a highly competent and experienced Inventory Controller to join their dynamic team.

As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company’s inventory, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and maintaining cost-effective inventory practices.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the company’s supply chain and ensure optimal stock management.


  • Monitor stock levels and implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Safely and securely store incoming stock.
  • Issue stocks as required for production and distribution.
  • Update inventory records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Generate periodic reports on inventory, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, track, and report inventory issues.
  • Maintain inventory files of products and sales materials.
  • Keep track of item inventory, including quantities at each level, locations, and expiration dates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Adapt to changes in demand and supply, working under pressure to meet inventory requirements.
  • Maintain good communication and analytical skills to effectively manage inventory-related tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold at least a Diploma related to inventory management, supply chain, or accounting.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing setup, preferably in the food industry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer literacy and the use of inventory management software.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of inventory control methods and techniques.
  • Display the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing inventory demands.
  • Showcase the capability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry is a must.
