Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Private) Limited is looking for a skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Harare on a temporary basis for a period of 3 months. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal controls and processes.
Your primary responsibility will be to plan and conduct internal audits, compile reports, communicate audit results, and provide consultancy and advisory services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of corporate governance within our organization. A remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute internal audits to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, and documentation of audit findings.
- Compile comprehensive audit working papers and reports, highlighting key observations and recommendations.
- Communicate audit results to management and stakeholders, facilitating discussions on improvement opportunities.
- Provide consultancy and advisory services to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address control weaknesses and mitigate potential risks.
- Review and report on the state of corporate governance within the organization.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend implementation strategies.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to internal audit.
- Assist the Senior Internal Auditor and contribute to team projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting.
- Possess a clean class four (4) driver’s license.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, and CISA are considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience of 3-4 years as an auditor or in a similar role.
- Strong self-motivation, determination, and confidence to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in IT tools and applications relevant to auditing and data analysis.
