Maranatha Christian Schools is looking for a passionate and well-qualified ICT / Computer Science Teacher to join our dynamic team in Kadoma. Your role will play a crucial part in equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge in the field of ICT and Computer Science.
As an ICT / Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, preparing students for Cambridge Syllabus and exam classes.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge Syllabus for ICT and Computer Science.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to cater to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum for ICT and Computer Science.
- Stay updated with advancements in the field of ICT and Computer Science and integrate relevant technologies into teaching practices.
- Guide students in conducting research and practical projects related to ICT and Computer Science.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or robotics competitions, to promote students’ interest in the subject.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree majoring in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field from a well-recognized institution.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Education or Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in teaching the Cambridge Syllabus and preparing students for examinations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in serving in private schools.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of ICT and Computer Science concepts.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
