Lupane State University invites applications from recent graduates for Accounting and Finance Traineeships. Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the Bursary team.

This traineeship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain professional experience in a diverse finance department within Zimbabwe’s education sector.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Verify payment vouchers and process payments through digital systems
• Process EFTs and RTGS transactions ensuring accuracy
• Maintain manual cash books with precision according to regulations
• Reconcile PayNow accounts and resolve any anomalies
• Transfer students between academic and fee statuses as required
• Raise relevant charges and credit notes according to fee policies
• Maintain finance databases and systems with attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience:

• BCom Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification
• Fluency in MS Excel and experience with financial systems preferred
• Strong organizational abilities and precision-oriented approach
• Capacity to learn independently, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for finance, procedure and supporting student services
