Job Description

St Anne’s Hospital is looking for a proactive General Hand to contribute to the smooth operation and cleanliness of the hospital.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a hygienic and organized environment for patients and staff. This full-time position offers a negotiable salary and the opportunity to work in a reputable healthcare institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and dry floors to prevent slips and ensure safety.
  • Promptly report any malfunctioning cleaning equipment to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to the established cleaning and maintenance schedule in coordination with the Housekeeper.
  • Alert the relevant authorities when cleaning supplies reach minimum stock levels.
  • Sterilize general areas and sanitize all public spaces.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards while on-site.
  • Perform deep cleaning of office furniture on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
  • Ensure all laundry is washed, clean, and well ironed at all times.
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations relevant to the role.
  • Properly dispose of clinical and non-clinical waste in accordance with set standards.
  • Report any areas requiring maintenance or areas not in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess a minimum of 5 O Levels.
  • Completed training in housekeeping/cleaning.
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years as a cleaner.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to perform a range of tasks and adapt to different responsibilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision.
