The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ), is a reputable organization responsible for overseeing procurement activities in Zimbabwe.
With a commitment to promoting transparency and accountability, PRAZ plays a crucial role in ensuring fair and efficient procurement processes across various sectors.
PRAZ is looking for two experienced Finance Officers to join the organization’s dynamic team. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to ensure accurate financial reporting.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist bidders in registrations and review tender documents to ensure compliance.
- Receive and process electronic and manual payments, accurately capturing data for financial statements.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations within agreed timelines.
- Maintain the Trust Account, ensuring that transactions are related to bid securities and refunds.
- Contribute to the production of weekly and monthly financial and management reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of month-end journals, work papers, and reconciliations.
- Maintain an up-to-date register and attend to ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Capture bank statement transactions on the cashbook.
- Collect revenue and maintain proper accounting records through systematic filing.
- Analyze accounting data and promptly rectify any errors.
- Uphold strict confidentiality in line with the Authority’s policies.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Minimum of a higher national diploma or equivalent in Accounting/Finance from a recognized tertiary institution.
- At least two (2) years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Accounting Software, Microsoft Packages, Palladium Accounting package, and cash-book principles.
