Our client is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of the organization. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial reporting, management accounts, creditors, debtors, tax compliance, and statutory returns.

Your role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial information, maintaining compliance, and supporting the organization’s strategic financial decisions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee the production of management accounts, providing insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns, including VAT and PAYE.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct financial evaluations of investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) or completed articles clerkship.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, management accounts, tax compliance, and statutory returns.
  • Strong understanding of working capital management and cash flow optimization.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
