Chamkoto Farming Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to join the company’s dynamic team in Beitbridge. As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our citrus farm, contributing to its development and expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth and success of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of daily farm operations, including irrigation, pest control, and harvesting of citrus crops.
  • Supervise farm workers and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.
  • Lead citrus crop development, including land preparation, installation of irrigation infrastructure, and planting.
  • Maintain farm infrastructure and equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage finances and expenditure against an agreed budget.
  • Develop and implement farm strategies to optimize productivity and yield.
  • Monitor crop health and implement appropriate measures to prevent diseases and pests.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
  • Provide training and guidance to farm workers on farming techniques and practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in farming or related agricultural management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of farming techniques, irrigation systems, and pest management practices.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion for agriculture and a willingness to live full-time and work in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe.
