Job Description

PSH is looking for a dedicated and experienced Driver Mobiliser to join their team. As a Driver Mobiliser at PSH, you will play a vital role in generating demand for HIV/SRHR clinical services and facilitating the transportation of program personnel and clients. Your responsibilities will include ferrying index testers and service delivery teams, providing first aid when required, conducting sensitization sessions, and supporting community engagement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ferry index testers and HIV/SRHR service delivery teams between scheduled points.
  • Pick up and drop off HIV/SRHR clients between their homes and service delivery points.
  • Provide necessary first aid to clients during transportation for adverse events management.
  • Coordinate with the logistics officer for the transportation of program equipment.
  • Review clients’ eligibility and ensure signed consent for HIV/SRHR services before ferrying them.
  • Assist in setting up service delivery facilities, including pitching tents and arranging equipment.
  • Conduct community and group HIV/SRHR sensitization sessions to generate demand.
  • Collaborate with community leadership, such as Chiefs, Headmen, and school heads, for community outreach.
  • Distribute and post demand generation IEC materials in communities.
  • Notify the Provincial Manager in advance when the vehicle requires servicing.
  • Request vehicle servicing when necessary and promptly report on roadworthiness.
  • Ensure project vehicles are regularly checked for cleanliness and roadworthiness.
  • Perform regular refueling and check oil, water, and tire conditions.
  • Appropriately account for fuel usage according to PSH guidelines.
  • Collect and verify monthly reports, invoices, and CIR forms from service delivery sites.
  • Assist in preparing and reporting daily and weekly statistics for the supported team.
  • Report any data inconsistencies and notable disparities in MOHCC activities to the Field Services Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 Ordinary levels (O’ levels).
  • Valid Class 4 Driver’s License.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Possession of a Defensive Driver’s license.
  • Experience in demand generation is an added advantage.
  • Hardworking and excellent communication skills at all levels.
