The GBV-TFA will play a crucial role in managing the SAfAIDS DREAMS Toll-Free line, providing timely support and services to individuals affected by gender-based violence. This position requires excellent multitasking abilities, empathy, and proficiency in electronic data collection applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage calls on the SAfAIDS DREAMS Toll-Free line, ensuring a compassionate and supportive approach.
  • Comprehensively record call summaries, capturing accurate information and probing for clarity.
  • Ensure timely and need-based service provision and linkages for callers, collaborating with nearest community cadres.
  • Manage the SAfAIDS DREAMS MobiSAfAIDS Application, opening service referral tickets, tracking service provision, and ensuring case closure.
  • Adhere to the Multi-Sectoral Management of Sexual Abuse and Violence in Zimbabwe Standard Operating Procedure, responding to sexual violence cases within 48 hours.
  • Collaborate closely with the District Data Entry Clerk to ensure proper documentation and entry of service referrals.
  • Engage with the Department of Social Development (DSD) and Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MWACSMED) for complete and accurate case management documentation.
  • Employ effective communication and problem-solving skills to provide timely support to individuals affected by gender-based violence.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using electronic/mobile data collection applications for efficient data management.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrating sound decision-making abilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work from a certified and recognized institution. LIVES Certification/Training is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in GBV response and case management.
  • Multi-lingual with fluency in commonly spoken and written local languages, such as Ndebele, Shona, and Tonga.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people engagement skills, with effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make timely decisions in a demanding environment.
  • Preferred candidates should be domiciled or physically stationed in the district (Bubi, Lupane, Nkayi, Seke, or Tsholotsho).
  • Proficiency in using electronic/mobile data collection applications.
