CTDO is looking for a proactive and experienced District Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the District Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the overall coordination of the Enhanced Livelihoods and Nutrition Adaptation (ELINA) project. Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure the smooth implementation of the project, adhering to the work plan and displaying agility in decision-making.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a district team and collaborate with government line ministries, community organizations, and other programs to improve livelihoods and resilience in the target districts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the district team in the implementation of the ELINA project.
- Collaborate with government line ministries, community organizations, and other programs to ensure effective coordination and synergy of efforts.
- Promote improved agro-biodiversity, environmental management, food and nutrition security, water and sanitation, and policy and advocacy initiatives.
- Facilitate the establishment and functioning of Food and Nutrition Security Committees.
- Implement the Care Group model and Farmer Field Schools to enhance community engagement and capacity-building.
- Provide leadership and management to the district team, ensuring effective decision-making and problem-solving.
- Work under pressure with minimum supervision to achieve project targets and timelines.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, as well as write reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Utilize strong communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and facilitate effective collaboration.
- Stay updated on relevant developments in the field of nutrition, public health, and agriculture to ensure program effectiveness and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or Agriculture. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- O’level Mathematics and English are essential.
- Experience in working with Food and Nutrition Security Committees.
- Proficiency in implementing the Care Group model and Farmer Field Schools.
- Minimum of 4 years of coordination experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work productively under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- Excellent presentation, report writing, and communication skills.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Ability and willingness to ride a motorbike.
- Possession of a clean Class 4 driver’s license (3 years+ old).
